What this policy covers
This policy covers the Akhaara website, the waitlist form and messages you send us on WhatsApp or by email. It does not cover the test platform that institutes run for their students. That platform has its own terms, agreed with each institute.
What we collect
When you fill in the waitlist form, we collect:
- your institute's name, your name and your mobile number
- your country and city
- roughly how many students you teach and which exams you teach
When you message us on WhatsApp or by email, we receive what you send us and the number or address you send it from.
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
We use your details to:
- contact you about Akhaara and set up a demo
- answer your questions about plans and prices
- understand which exams and countries institutes are asking about
We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for advertising.
Your consent
We process your details because you gave them to us and asked us to contact you. This is your consent under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the UAE's Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us.
Who we share it with
We share your details only with the services we use to run this website and reply to you, such as our hosting provider, the tool that stores form entries, and WhatsApp when you choose to message us there. Each of them handles data under its own privacy terms. We may also share details if the law requires it.
Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
Where your data is stored
We work with institutes in India and the UAE, and some of the services we use store data in other countries. When your details move between countries, we take reasonable steps to keep them protected to the standard in this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details for as long as we are talking to you about Akhaara, and for 24 months after our last contact. After that we delete them, unless the law asks us to keep them longer. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the details we hold about you
- correct them
- delete them
- stop contacting you
Write to contact@akhaara.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or the UAE Data Office.
Keeping it safe
We limit who on our team can see your details and use services with standard security measures. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that your details will never be exposed, but we will tell you if a breach affects you.
Children
This website is for coaching institutes and their staff. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18 through it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will tell the institutes on our waitlist.
